Carson Turns 10 Dec 1st, Dad comes to visit the family. (KK was in Seattle though with Grandma Sandy and Jim). And the Civil War game... (unfortunately the Beavers Lost but is was a good game and we know some of the Ducks players and we were happy for them to go to the Rose Bowl.)

Ok...so it has been awhile since I blogged. Totally crazy life right now.

Sterling is a Senior and we have been busy with all that stuff.

Ok...Since March we have been going to soccer games and baseball games.

Most importantly...Sterling earned the Rank of Eagle Scout on April 14th of this year.

Jordan was the starting Varsity catcher for the GP Cavemen. Great time... but we did not win the State Championship or anything. But a very postitive year.

Sterling was in the Junior/Senior games and he was in Air Guitar again this year. I will post the link:

Hey there everyone...
So it seems as I have not been very good at this blogging thing lately...I haven't had anytime and I feel like all I do is race around.
But I had to post this photo...I really like it...
I have been thinking alot about Sterling:

Well....It over. Sterling had his final High school Game in South Eugene last Tues. The drive there was beautiful and so was the night!!!!

We lost the game and are not going to the play-off but Sterling had a great year and a write up in the new's paper!

Saturday was Sterling's Last home game...
We had such a wonderful day....

Quite a few people came....
Stephanie, the Johnson's, Dustin, Alan, and of course Grandma...and friends and family...
Sterling's team tied up and went into overtime. The Caveman won!!! Sterling kicked in the winning kick and the score was 3-2. He was so happy and it was a nice ending of the senior season.
We have 1 more game...but it is tues. in South Eugene. If they win they will go into the play offs. This team is tough though....We Will See!

Here is the family all decked out for the game. It was so exciting we won in triple overtime.

We beat Sheldon and they had not lost a game in 57 consecutive conference games. They are also last years State Champs. Very exciting and we all lost our voices.

OK Everyone...Those of you that know Kennedy .... Know she is not SHY! But she likes to act like it when she is in a new setting. So last week I couldn't get her on the field....Finally a friend shows up and she realizes she is up against her Best Bud Ellyse...And she cuts loose.
Then, we show up for the 2nd week and she is the only girl playing...up against 3 very aggressive...and very good soccer playin girls. Something kicked into gear with Kennedy and she scored a couple of goals....and defended the net...and was dripping with sweat by the end of the hour. She was pooped out and needed a nap!

So...Today Little Miss Kennedy gets to have a Full Day of Kindergarten. She was so excited that she got up earlier than ever before!

Kennedy goes to Kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary. She goes full days Tues and Thursdays. 1/2 day Friday Afternoons. She is in Mrs. Thompson's class. Kennedy is so happy and I think she will have a great year!

Kennedy starts next Thursday and her first day with all the class together is Friday, Sept. 12th. Also Kennedy's 6th birthday!!!!

My two handsome boys are a Junior and Senior...Where did all that time go? First day of school was Sept. 3rd, 2008 Sterling is a Senior. My last first day of school photo. It is so crazy! The time has flown by. He has changed so much in the past year. Becoming more independent. Works, and earns money....pays for his own clothes. Crazy! I love my 1st baby boy and feel sad he is only here for a short time....but I am excited for him and his entering into adulthood. January he will be 18.

Sterling is the Senior class president and is on the Varsity Soccer team. Still a pizza slinger and cruising in the "Ghetto Blue"....

Jordan is a Junior.....He is not playing Football...much to my distress! Baseball was crazy and just ended a week 1/2 ago. So he is focusing on work and school...HOPEFULLY!

I love Jordan....He is a people person and just like me....so many times we annoy eachother!:0
But he has a big heart and is full of energy. The first day of school and I come out of the bathroom and there is a house with more boys than I actually have. SOOO JORDAN!
Yikes! I really have to be ready BEFORE they leave the house!

I wish Jordan a wonderful year...which I KNOW that he will have...because he is a go getter!

I am so grateful for Carson and what a wonderful boy he is. Carson is sweet and makes me laugh more than anyone. He is one of my very best pals and I wish him the very best year. He has a great teacher.

So after the we got knocked out of the Tournament...I decided to drive down to Texas to see Dora since I couldn't change my ticket.

I went into Oklahoma and the Cherokee Nation (which we are...) and the past Carrie Underwood's home town in OKLAHOMA, and then into Texas and onto Allen, which is 20 min North of Dallas.

My Dad came to Arkansas for Jordan's Tournament.

So...Finally the team looks like themselves and have an amazing game. Because of the injuries and the horrible first game loss of 1-13...the boys need 12 runs to stay in the tournament. That they did with a 10-0 win against Maine...but they had the 10 run rule in affect which ended the game early. Not allowing to score the 2 extra runs to keep them in. Unfortunely, what the kids should've done was allow the other team to score 2 runs and then score the additional runs.
It was really sad but, a wonderful experience!

So this game was amazing....The boys finally started playing their game. Jordan was at 2nd for a bit and then around the 4th or 5th inning went back in as catcher. It was such an exciting game and the crowd was roaring. But....in the end, the other team had a great hit and scored the winning run 6-7. The boys felt sad, but they played a great game and they had nothing to feel bad about. These teams are great teams!

Well....this was our 2nd game. Not as bad as the last but definately not the their best. We lost 1-5. Jordan hit well and Levi got a home run but the outstanding defense wasn't there. Dora was there and they left late this afternoon. I loved seeing her and all the kids and Jordan loved hanging out with Nick. Nick is quite the handsome guy!

Dad showed up today about the 3rd inning and is staying through the series. He took me out to Olive Garden and we had a nice time.

The baseball field is called the Field of Dreams and the BIG BOSS..."Big Al" is great! Always throwing out treats for the spectators.

Tommy's parents: Tom and Nora have made it here also. This has been a great experience, even with the losses. Spencer, the 2nd baseman has broke his thumb and is out for the tournament.

SO...We played our first game after 2 weeks...and it wasn't pretty. The score...1-13...a broken wrist, hip out, ball off nose, plus some attitude and humidity.

We are hoping for a better play tomorrow against Wisconsin.

On a better note...Dora and the kids came. We ate at Out back and cruised the Fort and Gallows, and Miss Laura's, Bordello....Yes that it right. It is now a Visitor's Center. I will add the pictures.

So we made it in one piece. I was beginning to have doubts on the little hopper plane for a bit, but Arkansas is pretty (A bit like home, but without mountains) and the people are all very friendly and love having the series here.

We lucked out. They are having a storm so it is only in the 70's 80's with humidity, but not too much unlike Oregon summer storms. So our boys are at an advantage. They can play in rain fine. It has only rained a bit though. I was worried about the 110 temp with 85% humidity. I am definately HAPPY!

Here is Jordan at the Banquet...He did the Chick dance in front of everyone at the Banquet...Like 1000 people. Met a pro player and got his ball autographed. Won 25.00 for doing the macarena at the opening ceremonies. Does this surprise anyone? And basically has adopted his host family.

So...I am having a great time and thanks to all of you that made this happen for me! MWAH! Any of you at home...give Sterling a call, he is a bit lonely. Been calling me alot!

Today I am thanking my Heavenly Father for the many Blessings I have. I am so grateful to be going to Arkansas. To watch my handsome son play ball at one of the most exciting events of his life....And to be able to see my very Best Bosom Buddy...Dora. Dora told me today that she and Nick and the kids are coming to the weekend games. Two whole days with Dora and the family. Plus, this oh so exciting World Series. I am truly Blessed! Thank you all who helped make this happen! MWAH!

Can you believe it? Jordan's Babe Ruth Team won the Regional Championship.
They beat Northern Oregon 8-5....
Now they are off to Arkansas for Nationals....The Babe Ruth World Series!!!
It going to be on TV and everything....

Kennedy was so excited she was bubbling over with happiness. Grandma Sandy surprised her this morning with a early birthday gift. Her own, "Just Like Me" American Girl for the Tea Party.
She was so happy, her voice was catching at just the thought of the Tea Party and Dolls.

Hey there everyone....
Jordan called and they loss today to Kelso, Washington. 6-10.
He said that it didn't matter though, because they were both undefeated teams and it was for time of game the next day. They could still win it tomorrow!

Jordan has two games tomorrow....
The first is at 10 am and he says they need all the prayers they can get because it will be tough for here on.

He said that he played ok and hit ok!

Breaking Dawn...

So....Stephenie Meyer's new book Breaking Dawn came out at midnight this morning and a bunch of ladies all went over to Barnes and Noble in Medford. Most of them dressed up as vampires...Which I will post tomorrow .... DEFINATELY!!!!
We had so much fun and laughed a ton! We really need to have more girls nights out.

It is now 2:15 in the morning and I think I better get to bed because I have to work tomorrow!

Jordan's lucky Quarter paying off....

Jordan is digging in his pocket here to show his team mates his lucky quarter. The night before he had gotten an Idaho quarter and put it in his pocket during all the games and they are continuing to win!!!!

The Jo.Co. team just won their 3rd game against Wyoming, 16-0.

They play tomorrow against a very tough team at 1:00 pm. Jordan felt happy about his game play today....

Jordan's team had another win today against Lewiston's own team. They won 4-2...

They will play again against Idaho on Thursday at 4:00

Jordan said his hitting was ok but he had a great catch.

So Jordan left for Lewiston, Idaho on Saturday for the Regional Tournament. His first game was yesterday against Olympia, Washington. His team won 4-3. He plays again today at 4:00....Idaho time:)

The greatest thing happened....
We got a piano that was getting dumped. Can you believe it? It was in the family for a while, but they didn't want to move it again. Our blessing though. I will love it and the kids are thrilled!

Kennedy also got to spend the day with Ellyse...Her best friend from the Center.

Jordan had his State Tournament in Coos Bay, Oregon. Actually, North Bend! The two little kids and I stayed in Brackendorf State Park, next to Sunset Bay, in Carlston.
The kids had such a great time. We roasted Marshmellows. And we played at Sunset Bay, and Brackendorf beach.

JoCo Babe Ruth All-Stars win State Tournament in Coos Bay, Oregon

Jordan's All-Star team played in Coos Bay last weekend. Jordan had a great tournament. He won the Championship game when the teams were tied up 5-5, bases loaded and Jordan hit the back Center Field Wall...(1 Foot from going over) 3 guys scored and then Jordan, at 3rd, stole home. For a win of 9-5....
He has some amazing defensive moves as catcher and the whole team just hit it up! Way to go Team!

They are now on their way the Lewiston, ID for the Regional Tournament. I will keep you all posted. If they win this they go to Arkansas for the Nationals....Babe Ruth World Series. Now wouldn't that be something?

Scout Camp...

He went rafting for 3 days and then got to Rock climb. He had a blast and I hear all the boys had fun....

We were invited to the Burgess' house for a BBQ. Phil is the funniest person I know and a gourmet chef. The kids played in the pool and the older kids hung out. The Romick's came to and Stormy and Alice and I had a great time chatting.

After we were done with the food....the kids got to BLOW UP the fireworks we bought.

Carson's favorite holiday is the 4th because he loves to blow things up. HMMMM...Where did he get that from?

Seattle

So...When Jordan was at EFY the two little kids and I stayed in Seattle with Colleen and her Family.....
We went to the Park, Alki (the beach in West Seattle), and I took the kids to the Space Needle. We went up and they loved it. Then we ate Pizza, and played in the water at the fountain. All in All a pretty good day.
On the way home I was able to visit a old friend from High School. Kinda weird because I have been out 20 yrs....THAT'S Right...20!

Jordan got his License at the beginning of June. June 5th to be exact! And he has been driving his big ole' truck around. He has decided that he really should've gotten a scooter. GAS! Ugh!

During Kennedy's Ceremony...Carson and his buddy Tharren thought it would be funny to crash the Graduation. They came barging through the doors with Tharren on Carson's shoulder's wearing a graduation gown. And Flapping the arms. Actually quite funny! I think I may have been the only one that laughed!!!!

Here are a few pictures of the kids this baseball season...Kennedy finally started to come out of her shell and really whacked the ball. This was Carson's first year in Minors. He got hit with the ball a few times but shook it off. Jordan hit 3 homeruns this season and that was very cool for him. We love baseball. The season is over for Jordan at the High School, but Babe Ruth is started and of course....Legion Ball.
